First of all please let me say; I have looked through all of the threads in "Suspension". I can not find anything specific to the way I use my truck... so please don't rag on me for making a new thread, and in advance thank you everyone for your help!

    My rig is:

    01 I4 2.7l Reg Cab 4x4 w/ Canopy

I drive my truck every day. A lot of time on the freeway and some in the city. This is currently my dd but in the next year or two I would like to purchase a new dd, and work on my truck more.

I go hunting during the fall, and I go fishing when I am not hunting. I like to wheel in the snow up in the mountains every so often, I have not gotten into mudding or "off-roading" too much. I would like to do some moderate muddin' from time to time. When I was up in the snow I put some very heavy gauge cam-lock chains on the rear and the truck wouldn't get stuck. But I found in deep, undriven, snow it slowed down and eventually stopped. I wasn't pushing the snow with the bumper, but I'm sure it was past my gearbox. I would like to be able to go farther next time.

Currently I am running stock suspension, with 265/70 R16's. The rims are Eagle Alloy (can someone tell me if that means they are aluminum or steel?). My image for this truck is to make upgrades EQUAVILANT TO WHAT I DO WITH IT. Even though it would look AWESOME I won't be going with 33's. I'll do 285's (32' I think please confirm?) It is my understanding that these tires will allow me to do a 2.5" suspension lift w/o rubbing. Is this correct?

For what this truck is doing, does everything sound ok so far?

    Moving on....

Now where I am stuck at is WHAT KIND of suspention lift. My local shop says RevTek (http://store.revtek.com/p/1995-1-2-...uspension-system-also-requires-2-of-p-n-r2515)

I am looking for the best quality lift, brands are not the issue here, it's more of the conponents and a REASON why to use those instead of the cheaper ones. Thank you for your help!!! Any input is appreciated.

I have a BDS 4" lift on the front of mine, plus a new spring pack in the back...I run 33" tires...like you I hunt in the fall, Montana, South Dakota, Wyoming or the like. I am up in the mountains a bit. I bet I use my four wheel drive a least once a month if not more! I call my 4 wheeling "cow trailing" as I am not a rock climbing type...

Blacked out Skid plate, block heater, bug deflector, blacked out headlights, tinted fronts, OME 3" lift, Toytec AAL, Revenge-Fab Sliders, K&N Air Filter
Not likely. But you can order the parts thru toytec and several other companies. Then have someone to install it for you.

for your budget, i would go with an OME setup and go with the Add-a-leaf instead of full leaf pack. leaves money left over to pay for install if you dont want to do it yourself, as well as alignment.

The acronym you're looking for is OEM = original equipment manufacturer.
