Having a bumper fabricated

Ok. There are a lot of really awsome bumper choices down south but the options are limited in Canada. I believe the only one I can think of is ARB.

I am an engineering designer and have access to 3d modelling software. I also have access to a 3d laser scanner. Down the road it might be possible to scan the entire underside of the truck. This would provide me a full 3d render of everything under the truck and with the front bumper off give me all the dimensions I would need...... Down to 1mm accuracy.

I assume if I could design the plans for a plate/tube bumper and bring them into a fabricator that it should save ???

 

maybe you could ask if one of these fabricators on here has their design saved on a CAD file. im sure they may sell it to you for a small fee.

 

That would be awsome. I will have to try but I can't see people giving up their plans.

 

yep, its hard to trust people to not go into their own business with your own plans. what type of scanner do you have? im interested because im a draftsman and surveyor. ive seen some pretty sweet laser scanners demoed in our coal mine, but my company wont buy one. i have to use a leica GPS rover all the time.
