Lifted 3'' front and 1.5'' back, removed ABS, when I brake hard, rear brakes have too much power, I heard the rears tires burning!

Removing abs + light rear end I suppose?

What route of removal was used?

    Switch or fuses?

What tires are you running? What driving and road conditions?

Sounds to me like it may be working normally. Rear tires have no traction so ABS kicks in. Disable ABS and rear tires lock up.

When ABS first came out in vehicles, many trucks only had rear ABS to keep the rear tires from locking up so easily. No front ABS on them.

ETA: How are your brake linings?

Metal on metal in the back could cause it. Minimal pads in the front and new in the back could make it worse. Air in the front lines? Lots of possibilities.

I suggest learning how to use ABS.

Works great if you use it properly.

    This. ^^^^^^ X1000.

Removing or disabling the ABS wasn't a real smart move IMO. I think you are seeing the results.

Its not the abs. Its the vsc and trac control. The computer needs to be reset. This will solve your problem. And they need to do a Zero Point Calibration. I had it done for free at my stealership.

I think it's clear the ABS is too mutch of a problem in the Tacoma. But disabling it completely is a bit mutch. I would take the other guys recommendation. Go to the dealership and ask "is it too mutch to ask that you guys reset my computer, my rear brakes are gripping just a bit to mutch."

They might try to charge you too mutch but I think a "that's a bit mutch" to the tech should save you some money, not too mutch, but a little.

ABS in these trucks is way too touchy. Fucking sucks. That's my vote.

    Good point!
OP. Put the abs fuse back in and go get the system reset and a Zero point calibration done. I bet that solves it.

Sound like you have a brake problem. ABS amplifies brake problems. Are your rear brakes adjusted up to far ? Are your e-brake cables frozen ? Is there something wrong with your front brakes ? When your brake system works normally so should your ABS.

Don't you love when you are coming to a stop sign or red light you hit your brakes in plenty of time(not waiting until the last second) you slow to about 10 mph and the ABS kicks in and you go sailing right through. Mine almost caused 3 accidents so far.

I drive in the snow all the time and have no problems.

I am still calling people out that say they have problems because I think it is the drivers. Its not a snow cat or snowmobile or an ATV so don't try to drive it like one.

I go so snow removal in an area with 10-15% grade hills and pull a trailer with my snow blower on it. And have no problems at all.

The only problem i have had with ABS is when i have been hot roding around.

ABS is not some kind of miracle braking device you still need to use common sense in how you drive.
