What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Easily...nothing a heavy hammer and some cutting can't fix. A little bit of rubbing under some compression but nothing major....a grinder to the pinch weld area will fix that soon.

So, I got new shocks on wednesday.

Now, anytime I hit a bump in the road or a speedbump, there is a rattling noise coming from the rear of the truck like something is loose. At first, I thought it was my wheel covers since they were just hanging on by 2 clips instead of 5, so i took them off, but the noise continues.

Any ideas?

I'll probably take it back to the shop to get them to look at it.

 

Check the u-bolts on the leafs, or maybe they didnt tighten the rear shocks.. It sounds like something small and minor to me.

 

Just picked up my 01-04 center console. It's even the right color.

Yes sir I do, my truck came with a homemade console that hit the shift lever it was no good.

Ive wanted a new one, but just havent got around to it yet.

 

I am sure we can work something out. It's that grey/blue color. The crack in the top is brand new and about 2" long. I was planning on recovering it in leather or something like that.

I'm usin rust oleum for plastic gloss black. Might be too shiny though. If it is I'm gon a go get a can of flat black or semi gloss. We will see when this side dries

 

I used rustoleum semi gloss black on my old truck and it turned out fairly good. Not to shiny really
