Bilstein 5100 Series Struts & Shocks (Struts set 2.25", Stock Coil-overs). 1" Rear Leaf Spring Blocks. Throttle Body Spacer. K&N, High Flow-Air Filter. Toyota, OEM, TRD, Cat Back Exhaust (tail pipe cut off, behind muffler, installed 3"OD X 5"L X 45 deg, turn down, dumped prior to axle). Toyota, OEM, Running Boards. Bora, 1" hub-centric wheel spacers. Mud flaps & emblems removed. Satoshi grille (by Brian Roadruck).
Where is the 2nd air filter located & how is it removed, on 2011, Tacoma, TRD, Off-road!!

Does this filter actually remove, smaller micron sized particles??

If removed, will this void warranty??
Is fuel mileage increased after removal??
    Any draw-backs, after being removed??

    Have a K&N , high-flow, air filter (#33-281), installed -- did not see a 2nd filter.

if you are referring to what i think you are referring to, you can see it when you remove your airbox that holds your k&n.

dont remove it, i imagine it will void your warranty. i believe it is a carbon filter for when you shut your truck off, that way any backflow at shutdown is absorbed. emissions thing really that i doubt hurts power/ mileage at all

Not sure how it could hurt anything by removing it. It does give a small power increase in that you won't have to shift down on hills as much, that's what I noticed at least...

Here is a link to removing it on the V-6 engine. Make sure that if you drill out the plastic rivets that you have first removed that piece of the intake from the truck and have also removed all the small plastic pieces. I did this to my truck still in the 3yr-36,000mi warranty period and have had no issues with check engine lights or decrease in mpg. There is a marginal power increase in the V-6. But removing this in the 4cyl is best. The 4 cyl gets a bigger power increase and mpg increase.
If your still concerned about it consider this. If you get say a complete AFE cold air intake kit you remove that piece of plastic containing the secondary air filter anyway. And like said before this isn't a filtering media, it's charcoal embedded to help collect some engine vapors.
