my mistakes folks... i was 99% sure i ordered Load C duratracs, might have been a type-o on discount tire when i was shopping for tires, i looked at so many tires at the time i must have gotten confused.

my apologies, they are Load D 285/70/17

Well, I'm retiring the Duratracs today with 50K on them. They have been some of the best tires I have ever run, really nothing negative I can say about these other than one hard to balance tire which was corrected with a RF balance. Bought them about 4 years ago when they first came out for $640 OTD. Had one unusual punture the first month I had them where a long sharp piece of shale entered through the sipe in the tread. Was plugged and was never an issue. They were rotated every 5K with the exeception of maybe skipping that interval once later in their life. After about 45K they started becoming a little slick in the wet and started to flat spot easily on cold days. Although after a few miles went away. At about 48K they started to get loud and hoppy. Could probably rebalance them and keep rockin for another 5-10K but I'm ready for something new. A new set would run me close to $1000 today, and I really want something meatier. Getting some Hurcules Trail Digger M/T's today. Here are some pics at 50K.....

These look way better than my bf rugged trails looked with 40k miles. I'm glad to see you got at least 50k out of them. I'm hoping to get that with my set.

Yeah I was happy with 50K. Still hadn't reached the wear bars. A lot of the tire shops I called regarding replacing them were having a hard time finding the C load. A few actually said they may discontinue the C load. Not sure how much truth there is to that. Anyway I'm running Hurcules Trail Diggers now. Truck is almost paid off and it will see more offroad abuse. :D

Is this true? So will I get less mileage out of them in Hawaii?

Two tire shops in San Diego said they couldnt get the 6 ply in Cali and id have to pay shipping. Discount Tire said they would get them and no shipping, but have to wait till Tuesday as I was 2 hours too late to get them by tomorrow. I think $1100 OTD unfortunately :(

Cheapest shipping to Hawaii from discount tire direct for 265/75/16 is $550 :(
Tirerack is cheaper for the tire and shipping for me.
I'm still better off buying from local Goodyear shop.

Damn I got 10 ply from discount tire for 1009.34 last weekend. They told me same thing they couldn't get 6ply right now, and if he did I would have to pay shipping. So I just went with the 10ply and honestly rides perfect fine to me, he did however give me the the 10's for the 6 ply cost. (and that was with the lifetime warranty of the tires thing they offer to) if I wouldn't have got that it would have been 900 and some change.

The Waialae store had them when I called last week (265/75/16) but they said they only keep 4 in stock of each size. So if somebody just bought them, you might have to wait awhile. I'm gonna install my lift first, then have them do the alignment and mount/balance tires same time.
I'll try and give 4wheel parts a call today.

I'm think of getting new tires a few months down the road.I currently have Nitro Trail Grapplers 285/65R18. I want to go bigger and I'm really leaning towards the Duratracs but I'm in between the $285 295/65R18 or $344 325/65R18 and both of these are load rated E.where can I find these same tires with a load rage C or D and will they be lighter in weight compared to the E rated? Thanx guys
