:woot: Cheap date doesn't mean bad date ;)

:pout: my truck's broken :pout: She won't move. Had the spiral cable replaced saturday, washed her and backed her into the garage, and now she won't move. DIdn't have time to try anything - had to get to work. Kind of feels like the front right wheel is frozen :notsure: :(

Hope everyone has a wonderful day - TGIF!!!

I would guess the first step is to jack it up and see if the wheel spins freely. Might as well look at the other parts of the suspension as long as it is up there,

Do you have a link to the cable TSB?

That's what someone else said, so looks like hover taco this afternoon.

No linky... I'll have to go home and look at the number.

Since you mention TSB, they told me the gas pedal hadn't been done and I told them NOT to do it... wonder if they re-flashed it (he mentioned something about it)... he said it would make it so that if the engine raced, pushing the brake pedal would over-ride the gas pedal. Guess it didn't do that before :notsure:

I told the service dept to leave my gas pedal alone as well. I have Weathertechs installed and there is no problems.

Post up if you have any problems when you look at the Tacoma moving issue. I am sure someone will help.

I have a meeting tonight at church so I will not be on line. I have found that Boyd and Ben are a solid reliable source of information. Chris is not too shabby either. He helped me out with an issue the first time I changed the oil in the Tacoma.

Well, putting her in reverse then drive knocked whatever lose :notsure: couldn't have been frozen, she was in the garage

It was a safety recall not a TSB on the spiral cable - from 2005 to early 2009 model vehicles.

Brakes are original, 37,000 miles on truck now

    evening all

No heat, but it was only freezing outside. Inside it was cold, but no where near freezing.

I don't know... I've never had an issue before, but it's making me nervous about taking her on another road trip

    Was the parking brake set?

Although the parking brake only applies the brakes in the rear wheels not the front.

I would drive it around town and to work for a while and see what happens. Still not a bad idea to jack it up and give it a once over, might even take off the front wheels and inspect the calipers and brakes.

I get these free inspection certificates from my local Toyota Dealership all the time. No obligation to buy anything. Might be worth taking the time to have them give it a once over as well.
