I've actually got to work that weekend. I'm pretty much booked thru August at this point.

A WTB thread is a good idea. I don't think I can utilize piggybacks with my setup.

 

Nooo I am keeping this truck until the day I die, then eventually getting a second vehicle when I get out of college. Buying another project truck is not practical because I would blow all of my LT savings on buying it. Then I would have two stock trucks and no money, who wants that?!

 

That's fine,kings run 150 in the prerunner series. What shocks, front or rear?

 

Rears. it rode perfect with the 150 a little rough with 180 but idk if i should revalve them or not

 

Drop the pressure a little, borrow my adapter and drop the pressure a little at a time till your happy.

for leafs I normal put them at 150 psi

Anybody ever had I hard time taking a dust cap off a 2.5?

Keep turning it counter clock wise but it's not coming off?

 

Use a sharp chisel or screwdriver and slowly pry it out they dont thread. It helps if you have a vise

does any one know what this sound is? i pulled the boots off the inner tierods to see if anything looked wrong but it all seemed to be ok. is it the inner tierods? oh and dont say anything bout those worn out bushings i have tc ones on the way

 

Are you talking about the creaking?

 

yes the creaking. it is so loud in person

 

Make sure the shock has pressure, that is normally the problem

 

It helps with some of the harshness on leafs

 

On my 2nd gen, that is the sound of dry uniballs. I hit it with tri flow and it goes away until my next dirt trip.

I have also heard that sound with dry bushings. Again, lubed and it went away.

 

I never once used any sort of lube on my FK JMX uniballs and I ran them for a good 4-5 years... By far the best company to go with when they have teflon lining.

 

I rolled my truck, bent the upper arms, drove it DD out to many desert trips, and they're still being used today on jeffz0rz's truck without any slop! Hands down well worth the money to get them even if they are expensive at first, things are excellent, same with the heims.
