Very possible. Kid pushing the cart and rams it in between cars, mom or dad is a bitch and just grabs some paper from kids school supplies and says sorry

This was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the photos. Reason? Same exact thing :scratches, little denting then a note that said "i'm soooo sorry !!" happened to me at Home Depot. Back in my import car phase I had a lowered integra, someone wasn't looking and pushed a flatbed cart down the sides of my car leaving scratches and dents on rear quarter and door. Then left a note. Then took off. No name, number, or insurance info. So clearly they weren't THAT sorry.

Sorry to see it happen to someone else.

Thats messed up, some person screwed your truck up bad, and then leaves a note that just says sorry, no attempt to compensate or nothing. I would have lost it. Hunt them down!!!!!!!

Some people are just DB's. I was at Wallyworld a few years back and about 3 or 4 teens, maybe 16 to 18 years old were shoving shopping carts across the parking lot, this lot is slightly slopped and these carts were going 50 to 100 yards. I went and spoke to the manager and called the non emergency line to the sheriff, I wasn't going to go 3 on 1 for property. They finally picked off a Jeep, you would have thought they won the lottery, jumping up and down and high fiving each other. I wanted to take a baseball bat to em.

Prints are extremely difficult to lift from paper. They'll do it for a homicide, but not for vandalism.

Plus, lifting prints doesn't do any good if the owner of the prints has never been arrested, or hasn't applied for some kind of permit or license that requires a Livescan.

Most people in California just have a thumb print on file with the DMV or from buying a gun, but nothing traceable from a crime scene.

Check with your insurance company first before filing the claim. Mine does not go up on an other than collision claim only increases on collision or liability claim.

They don't increase your rates for a comp claim, but most people carry a fairly high deductible.

Now, for something like this, it very well could end up being worth it to fork over the $500 and have it repaired, but I've had too many cases of reporting something to the insurance company, only to be told that the repair is $550.

Little shits like that are the absolute scum of the earth. They've obviously never owned anything valuable in their lives and or had to work for anything before. I would honestly have a hard time holding back if I saw that...

Sorry to see that OP. Carts usually have plastic clips on the corners so I don't think it was that. It was definitely something with weight behind it though. Maybe a fat douchebag with a Dodge key?

I would be so pissed I would find who did that and beat the shit out of them. Someone keyed mine too. Between the end of the driver's door and the front of the rear door. However, it isnt as bad or deep as yours, but it irritates the hell out of me everytime I was the truck. Good luck to ya man!
