I was putting on my westin brush guard today, and thought I would mount my mini maglite in my console, in case I needed a quick light that is easily accessible. Very easy to do, just unscrew the six philips screws that are holding the bottom of the console lid, take it out, mark where you are going to screw in the clips, which I found on Amazon.com for $5.14, mount it, and put it back together. I like it a lot, and it's probably the easiest mod to do. Let me know what you guys think.

Did you reinforce the mount on the side of the seat or is the plastic strong enough as is?

No, the plastic is strong enough to hold it. I didn't even think about it until afterwards, but the console lid stays open with the maglite mounted. In other words, its not too heavy that it just closes on its own.

Edit: Sorry, you were referring to the seat mount...No, the plastic is strong enough on that as well!

Thanks, I bought the mounting brackets 4 months ago but hesitated to install them yet because I was afraid the plastic might bust without being reinforced.

I know you said you got the clips on Amazon, but I can't seem to find ones similar. Do you have a more accurate description or product name?

Great job, btw. I'm doing it as soon as I can get the clips.
