Parts came in this week so my truck is no longer stock! Finally installed my Nfab lightbar w/ Rigid LED's along w/ the Pop&Lock solenoid..at least there will be a bit more piece of mind at the tailgate. Even used "tamper pruf" hardware om the light install....

I was thinking about doing this a while back. Now that my tax return is in, what better time :D

What did you wire the solenoid to? I was thinking just off the passenger door lock so it unlocks with the 2nd press on the key fob.

    Not yet...

Last weekend I drove down south to get my tires, and this weekend has been flipp'n windy again... we'll see how tomorrow looks. I painted my skid plate today, but that was just undercoating and it's going to get scratched off anyhow, so I wasn't too concerned about random debris flying into it  but if it's calmed down tomorrow I'll see about sanding down my last paint attempt and trying again. Sucks I don't have a sheltered area to spray paint in...

that's one of those things that looks like such a simple piece of hardware, but yet again something I would be forced to buy if I wanted because nor do I own a welder, but I don't know how to weld either

I ended up running it along the driver's side to the plug that sits about 4 or 5 inches to the rear of the body harness that passes back into the cab. It was a bit of a PITA because I added the 2 wires to the OEM harness but otherwise I'm really happy that I got the 8521 rather than the lockable one from the same company....
