Need Help With Invention

I only say what my lawyer told me when I got a patent a few years ago. i had to make a working model(prototype) before approval. patent pending might be what allows this extended process? So you say he made a processor in 1971, and got a patent in 1990? So he must have had a finished, working prototype before getting his patent in 1990, sounds about right to me.

I hear you. Thats interesting, but I read this as not needing a prototype or working model to file for a patent. It can take many years to actually get awarded a patent as you know. I personally think he probably should build one of whatever he is inventing, to see if it works or not. I may very well be wrong as I am not any sort of an attorney at all. I did however stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Alright sorry guys I lost subscriptions to this thread and a few others.

Now I would like to continue with this invention or 2. And I think/know that someday something similar will be invented. But I don't think I can invest my time money etc. because I don't have very much of any of that. That is why the idea with passing it off to a school might be the best idea. I just feel like I'd like to invest but I'm not in a good position. And I told my grandpa he thinks its a good idea but he doesn't have the money either.

Enough sob storie. I guess I will just have to take some time maybe draw some things up and maybe one day persue it
