I chose the XB35 bulbs because a few members here recommended them over the regular morimoto ones. TRS said it was well worth it for the GB price as well. The kit comes with the projectors, bulbs, hardware, shrouds, ballasts, and wiring harness. I added the glue to seal the housings back up as well. If recommend getting it.

Hate to be a newb, but I think this is on topic: are there any LED headlamps that look like incandescents? I want the efficiency/long-life of LEDs but HAAAAAAATE the blinding ugly blue light of halogens and LEDs. Makes me want to run people off the road....Is there such a thing out there?

unless you're spending a ton of money (+$800) you're not going to get LED headlights that will be bright enough to actually use anyways.

Thought that might be the case from what little I've read on the subject... Oh well. Incandescents it is.

Those looks cool but I think they are just begging a cop to pull you over. Especially with red or blue backlights in them...

i usually stick with green to match my wheel well lights but a new law passed here and now you cant have anything other than stock colored lights. so now i cant even use them anymore. they are still good as strobes and party lights lol

Once these morimoto kits are installed and wired up, if an HID bulb goes out does the entire assembly have to be taken apart to replace bulb? or if you bought a diff brand bulb as back up they can be interchanged right? I just dont want tons of new hassles if I did this.. not going to get halos and it seems like they might be the worst to deal with, if issues arise..

Definitely not going for the looks, I want better light output since I do alot of night travelling to/from work. The D2S morimoto HID kit wont leave me disappointed in any way wishing i spent ~ $300 on a light bar or something like that? I would love a night and day difference, it isnt $ holding me back it's the steps to get it done and hoping I sealed the lights back up well enough kinda deal...

edit: i should just delete 2nd little rant and ask "does it feel like u spent $300 when u turn ur lights on?" haha

A resounding yes. So much cleaner, so much brighter. I have the 35w system....it's amazing....kinda wish I woulda went with the 55w though. I drive on country roads at night a lot. I do still have my LF 170's though so I'm sure I'll manage. You won't be disappointed. For resealing...just to make sure I was not going to have any leaks...I ran a small bead of silicone II (clear) around the outer edge...smoothed out with a wet finger....bone dry in a monsoon. Take your time.
