I always use the parking brake... I'll do that in a few days... not gonna happen tomorrow.... high of 45 and rainy, with maybe a snow flurry.

My stealership is stingy... they don't even give you a drain plug washer if you buy an oil filter... Haven't gotten any of those coupons in a long time. But I'll see what I can find.

:Glad you got it moving Sue. I have a small ceramic heater that I keep in the garage ($30) to heat the garage up if I need to work out there. Heats it up in bout half an hour. Would help if you have a water frozen brake or cable. Like Tom & Jim said it would be a good Idea to get it checked out. Calipers can be a pain especially in the cold. 37000 on original brakes with an automatic is damn good but you should get them checked:eek: Are there any places that don't try to rip you off that you can take it to get it checked?

I get the maintenance things all the time. Sometimes they are free sometimes at no extra cost when you do an oil change.

You would think the stealership would want you in the showroom to look at the new line of cars and trucks. Might be a different type of marketing in SC over the DC metro area.

I even get e-mails from Koons Toyota, where I bought my Tacoma from, offering discounts on service and free safety checks all the time.

I usually do the work myself, except for warrenty work. I did take my Tacoma in for a free 29 point inspection after I did a 30K maintenance and all they found was the cabin filter was almost ready to be replaced. I have replace it since then with a $10 filter myself.

I am at 40K now and probably want to look at the brakes in a little bit.

I use TW all the time for help with maintaining my Tacoma. Lots of accurate information already posted, even for us 2WD Tacomas.

Thanks Ken. Shouldn't have been frozen, but :notsure: Might have 37,000 miles, but a good bit of them are highway, not stop 'n go city miles. I'll do some asking when I get to work on monday.

I do get maintenance things in the mail, but they recently changed from coupons to a flat 5% off any maintenance (stealer where I bought the truck has 15% off). Hmmm might be worth a trip up there....

I've done all the work on mine, except for tsb, recalls. If it wasn't for TW, there's no way I'd be able to do the work I've done.

    Carl

    Hi Susan :)
Still fighting this cold. In my eyes and chest. More snow. 6 day work week. Not in the best of moods today..
