I had a 07 Tundra DC 5.7. It was in the shop more than i actually drove it. In 6500 miles, I was on my second transmission, 2nd tail gate, and the transmission was starting to slip again. When the truck would actually shift, it was fast, but i just did not trust it. There was to many problems with it. I just figure it was an early 07 model.

I ended up selling the truck, and getting my current Tacoma. The Tacoma is not perfect, but i think its better built. I had an 04 Tundra Double Cab 4x4, that was the best truck i ever had.

When i get another full size, it will most likely be a F-150. I went and test drove one, and i was actually impressed.

Agreed 100%. For me it came down to what I really needed. For the amount I tow, haul and the fact that it's my daily driver as well, the Taco is darn near perfect. The new F-150 is a great truck, but it's just too much for what I need. I didn't really like the Tundra I test drove. Awesome powertrain, but the rest felt rather "blah" to me.

The mechanical parts in the F150 are fantastic very high quality. Ford does not make a budget to save with their trucks. However, the new Body style is BUTT UGLY (sorry if you have one or like one) IMHO The new F150 styling is AWFUL. They seriously should have stuck with the old style for a few more years until they actually liked a model.

Not one tthey just drew up to make the CEOs happy

Never had a problem with the Rams I drove for over 2 years. In -50ºC to +30ºC they kicked some serious ass. Only issue was rough idling on hte 08's, but apparently that could be looked after without shelling out big bucks. Frames were tough as a shit brick house. And I did some outright brutal off roading with those with about 1100lbs in the back. Not heavy for a 3/4 ton I know, but when you get a foot of air doing 60mph with that in the back, you know it's a tough truck. :D

Man, the Sierra's are really nice looking and come with a killer warranty. They show to get better fuel mileage and the one I drove rode better than a Tundra. I also don't like the instrument panel on the Tundra. So, I think the F150 and the GMC are on the top of the list.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Tundra's frontend is too short? The front fenders just look too short.I dunno, maybe it will grow on me, but as of now I prefer the domestics by apperance and fuel mileage.
