I think it depends on the trim. Some of them are indeed grotesque. OTOH, some of them, like the FX4 for example, look pretty sweet IMHO.

The red one I posted above? Too much chrome......even around the tail lights?!

    WHat does FX4 mean anyway

So you can fit another person in the front seat if necessary. The Rams are like this too. And honestly, I kinda like the steering column shift stick. Reminds me of my folks old 83 Sierra. Now that thing was a goddamn tank! :D

I guess Im not very used to the shift stick on the steering column. I just like to have that extra bit of center console

Jesus Christ. Need a pilots license to drive that thing.

We have a newer (2007) F150 for our government vehicle. IMHO a piece of shit. Brakes are shot (19,000 miles on the odo) and for some reason the front diff likes to try to engage at highway speeds. Steering sucks balls and it's turning radius is the same as a cruise ship's. Seats make my ass twitch and legs cramp up. Ground clearance of a Scion and have almost been high centered on a logging road.

To me Ford hasn't really earned my vote.

You know I look at the Tacomas ground clearance all the time.... Amazing that not a SINGLE thing hangs lower than the rear diff.

All the other trucks have things lower than the skid plate

I don't like the looks of the Tundra, but the interior is phenomenal.

I love the tundra and fuck everyone who hates them because Toyota out did themselves on the Tundra and deserve a ton of credit for their hardwork put into the redesign of the Tundra!! Plus I love the 5.7L V8

This is something the americans never learned, and I'm sorry that I'm offending roughly 97% of the people on here. Simplicity is the name of the game. This isn't a jet that gets serviced and full system diagnostics every 250 hours of run time. The interior of that Ford is a testament to the increasing complexity of their vehicles. And as was mentioned on another thread, the reason our Tacoma's and other Japanese vehicles do so well and last so long is a lack of complicated engines. The more parts you have the more things can break.

That interior to me just gives me the impression that there are more buttons to break, more wires to fail and more shit to distract the driver when they should be driving. (Probably why I see more people in Fords driving like dumbasses. Well they can't be that smart, I mean they bought a Ford.)

What do you mean plasticy? They are plasticy. I hate my dash. I wish I had the dash that was in my 91 Corolla.

Toyota will make it right. They will make the trucks look like they still belong in the economy after 10 years.

My dads Lexus doesnt look outdated at all it still looks like it belongs in the economy.

10 year old car--- same with the Toyota cars/trucks/and SUV
