Need help deciding between air mattresses for camping...

    I recently ordered a truck tent but can't decide between the Truck Bedz air mattress, the Napier Sportz air mattress or the Coleman SUV air bed to put back there. Does anyone else out there have an air mattress in the bed of their truck? Any other suggestions?

    The three I'm comparing are $25-$70. The Truck Bedz is $70, Napier is $50 and the Coleman is $25.

    I've used the coleman (green model) for years. I bought a twin size 7 years ago, used probably an average of 6 days per year. Holds up fine. I keep it stored in the spare bedroom closet. I think storing it inside extends the life.

    I see them in adds for Big 5 & Sports Authority for 1/2 off every few weeks.

    Better than me...I slept with a rock in my back (or chest, depending on how much pain I wanted to be in)

    Hence the purchase of an air mattress.

    you're comparing apples to oranges...are you planning on sleeping in the bed of your truck? Then I would get the one that fills in around the wheel wells. If not, then I'd get the one that's on sale.

    No, I'm comparing air matresses. Are the pictures not showing up? :p But yes, I'm going to sleep in the bed. The only reason I like the one that goes around the wheel wells, is it might give me a little extra room for my head if I roll crooked in the night. But the more I look at it, the more I realize it doesn't give me any extra sleeping space. And I might be able to use the corners for small coolers.

    I would rather have those holes filled up with the air mattress than be required to bring stuff to shove down there.

    It's not like I'm building extra nightstands just for camping; I'll stick stuff there that I need to bring anyway. Like beer. And maybe a sandwich. But definitely beer.

    For all interested parties, I have decided to get the Coleman SUV air bed. It fits the bed best (the long bed is 73" long and 42" wide. Whereas the Coleman SUV bed is 70"L x 41"W) without being as expensive as the Truck Bedz air mattress. I was able to buy a 12V air pump that I can plug into a cigarette lighter (which I will be adding an outlet to one of the cubbies of the bed this week...) for less than the total price of either one of the mattresses. Hopefully, I will have made a wise decision.

    My girlfriend and I will be camping the first week of June, so we'll see...
