Besides the fact that the Mazda's transmission actually grinds...
These stupid ass motherf*king California drivers. They're really starting to piss me off! I went the other day to Kragen to get wax, clay kit, all that crap for the Expedition and I bought too much so I had to go back. Now I was driving back at 4:15 which is the beginning of rush hour coming up from Dublin to San Ramon on the backroads.
I like to drive the Expedition uber gas saver so I can have fun with it and listen to it's low growl while getting a whopping 15MPG and this one woman really set me off the other day, I'm driving back an dget to this one street that's a 2 lane road only and this stupid bcith can obviously see I was driving slowly and conservatively but instead of going around me in the next lane she tailgates me for miles. Eventually we get to this road and I'm driving the speed limit just accelerating slowly and the stupid woman is STILL tailgating me...WTF?!?!?!? She tailgates me all the way down this two lane road and where she can obviously turn to get to the same place she still stays right up my ass with her goddman 98 white Honda Accord 2 door V6.
We finally get to the light at the end of the road and she really quickly cuts into the left lane of the 2 lane left turn only section and slows down to get a "good look" at me. Now I'm almost 18 so I'm sure she was thinking "stupid teen drivers can't drive for shit" and it just pissed me off to no end. So I'm in this very capable of eating her pos monstrosity (cause I've beaten my friend before and he has a 99 black on black Accord 2door V6) so the light turns green, I gun it outta ther but have to slow down to make the turn without flipping it and then I saw that she wanted my lane so as most California asshole do, I floored it and let this V8 BREATHE IN AND OUT and this stupid woman is making me pull like 60 on this street and if it weren't for my having to slow down I would've gotten her but she was just far ahead to cut me off so I couldn't see the top of her bumper. So I layed on the horn for a few minutes.
Yes this is road rage technically but it's people like her that cause road rage. I'm pointing this out mainly because the people out here are in the "most environmentally conscious" state and yet they still pull shit like this when I'm trying to maximize my gas mileage. I don't normally drive like this ever but there was just something about the moment that really annoyed me and made me do this...idk. Looking back on it, it was fun to lay on the horn forever and hear that engine spool up an wind out...even if it was dangerous and wreckless.

I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about but I had to share.

I've also got another sort of rant coming up shortly...

HA i know how you feel. thats why i installed lights on the top of my truck bed to blind tailgaters. and let people know im backing up when they are not paying attention. No offense and i repeat NO offense, but MANY california women can NOT drive. I am not saying that the rest of us are perfect but fuck, no common sense or road courtesy sometimes.

The same can be said out here about SC drivers....

I, too, try to drive conservatively. I gradually increase my speed to the limit, and I also get tailgated by MORONS who would rather tailgate me than go around, even though there's an open lane right next to me. My daily driver is a camry and I usually get tailgated by the idiots in the big SUV's who think they can push me out of their way.

It's not just a CA thing, it happened on my X-country trip, in all states, by BOTH males and females.

You need to learn to control what you do when this happens... you could cause a wreck, could get a ticket for racing, or the idiot in the other vehicle could have a weapon, or one of them could follow you home...

I do know it's frustrating, but, be the bigger man and just let them go around.... even though it is a hard thing to do.

No- People like BOTH of you cause road rage- She could have made better decisions- so could you. She "MADE" you speed up to try and keep her from merging in?? YOUR foot was on the pedal-You made the car go.

Be smart- Let her tail gate you until she a) goes around or b) hits you- She hits you- Her insurance pays and then sue her. She goes around...Let her go-She'll wrap her POS around a tree or whatever somewhere down the road and you'll be fine and all set to go back to saving your gas money.

Here's what I like to do to the MANY butt sniffers like that.....just slowly come to a stop. Sit it out. After about a good 30 seconds the rusty wheels in her thick skull might start to turn. I'm convinced that 99% of drivers are just plain stupid.

Yes, I know, it really wasn't the best decision but I was going down whatever the hell this road was forever and she PLAINLY saw I was driving slowly and had an empty lane to pass me in but just decided to stay right up my ass for like 8 miles. Even though it wasn't the best decision, it was kinda fun to give her a taste of her own medicine.
Yea I'm in San Ramon, Santander Dr. I've got a friend who lives right by Hacienda in Pleasanton so I'm down there or drive through there sometimes.
lol naw I didn't, it wasn't worth it. Right after she cut me off she went right at the next light towards Danville/Blackhawk area.
I know, it wasn't the best but it made me happy to let her get on the receiving end...and get another Accord under the Expeditions bloated belt.

Yep, I truly do like both of those posts and I know my decisions could be better sometimes but it happens so often and there's never a cop around and then when I'm cruising along they'll go out and pop someone who was being a good driver (which I see more often than not).
But every once in a while they'll pop someone who was being a bad driver...like the other day I was speeding (like 32 in a 25 that should be a 30 again, something I do but not as excessive...usually 5MPH over on average) and there was a motorcycle cop with a gun on me then a Bimmer behind me and I'm looking back and I see this guy swerving and speeding up and then fly up next to me and try to out run the cop...on a motorcycle...in his BMW...WTF ARE YOU THINKING?!?!?!? They almost ran the stop sign that I was at making a left just to lose the cop...I mean speeding and blowing a stop sign trying to run from the police...HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE!??!?!?
Just another example of what it's all about to drive here. Then again, the people in SoCal are much worse than here. No offense but IMO, it's true.

I'm sure you guys think I'm a bad driver but I'm honestly better than 95% of the drivers out here. I'm just stating the bad crap I do for arguments sake even if it hurts my case. lol

something like 95% of drivers all think theyre better than 95% of the drivers out there

    seriously

EVERYONE thinks they are a better driver than the next guy

my dad swore up and down that he was a better driver than anyone else in our family

i rode with him for 15 minutes and noted something like 30 violations
