Front Shocks for 6" Yota Lift

Hey guys,

Just looking for suggestions on a front shock set up with a six inch lift. I have heard the front set up that comes with the Procomp and Fabtecc kits are really good, but I was curious to know if there is anything else out there to look at?

 

King, Fox, Bilstein probably..

 

Ok. Now my other question is do these offer a certain 6" length or will I have to use the 3" spacer that comes with procomp kit? Or am I better off just getting the front shock setup procomp offers in their stage 2?

 

i have never looked into it but i can imagine if you call fox they can answer your question. i dont see why procomps shocks wouldnt work

 

i have seen people using tacoma coilovers and a 6 inch spacer on the top i dont see why this wouldnt work

 

Awesome. Thank you for the responses and info. I bought a used Procomp 6" set up that was in great condition. The only thing it was missing was the front shocks so I have just been curious. I have heard the spacers give a very stiff ride, but I suppose thats what you get for height. I am just researching for other options because I am looking for the smoothest ride possible. I will be doing some off road wheeling come hunting season, but thats pretty much it. I will also be buying some alcan or dakar leaf packs because I do not want to use blocks for the rear.

 

6 inch coilovers will give you the best ride by far. and dont use blocks in the rear very dumb idea i have seen those fail before.
