    MTgirl (Lisa),

I've beat around the bush a couple times; it's time to commit. I'm interested in the MT. Shasta, so please add my name to your list on page 1.

Only a suggestation: I'm not trying to volunteer anyone's time and effort, but a TW-member (BonesFJ40) mentioned they lived around the corner from CVT. Maybe he can contact Bobby and get a better feel of CVT's willingness to collaborate on the group buy. (BonesFJ40 sorry for putting you under the spot light.)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a 30% discount. Most importantly thanks for the time and effort you've invested; likewise for Blackdawg.

I was going to go back through here and make sure I hadn't missed anyone. I want to get the list updated tonight

    I will put you down.

Someone else mentioned that they had spoken to Bobby and that he was a little backlogged. I'm going to try to get back to him tomorrow :fingerscrossed:

i have the rare day off and in town, so i stopped by the CVT office. there was no one available, meaning no one was at shop and door was locked. this is not out of ordinary for CVT. it is not bobby's main income. he is also a local painter here in town from what i understand. i have heard nothing but great things about bobby and CVT, so my guess is as the weather has been good in this neck of the woods, he might be painting. i will be gone for the next few weeks so i wont be able to check in again at his shop until mid march most likely.

Lisa, you can add me for the Shasta if we think this is going to hit 30%. Still on the fence if it stays at 20.

FINALLY got an email from Bobby at CVT...but it didn't answer any of the questions I asked.

Seems he is interested in the GB and will be in touch to work out the details soon so at least that's a little progress...

If I were to go the Mt. Bachelor route, does anyone know if it would fit onto of a roofrack on a Leer or an ARE truck topper?

Does anyone have a picture of theirs mounted and setup on top of their truck topper?

    Thanks,

    Charles

Thule makes a system that mounts to the roof of the canopy like this...

That sits way too high for my taste... If I go with this I'd come up with a custom mount closer to the roof...

    for details. ;)

got it  I was :spy:-ing over there this morning.

I think it would make the truck a little top heavy which could be troublesome in certain off camber situations.

    Agreed...

I like Monte's setup with the bed rack & how the tent sits lower than the cab roofline. That's not an option for me though.

Fortunately my Cap has the thule tracks on it and has the heavy load rating.
