LOL. I know. Seeen a firehouse burnt down locally due to a cooking accident! Everyone was out on a call, left some food on they forgot about, then they got a call for the station apparently! Thats the story at least. Following year, during a snow storm, the roof collapsed. That station has some hard times!

Yeah I've heard of stories like that as well. I always encourage people never to leave their stoves running when they arent at home. Now slow cookers is a different story. ;)

So last night after dinner my wife and I talked about how busy this week was going to be, and that we would not have time to cook dinner in the evenings (we do a full home cooked meal every night)
We decided that while I am busy with 10 other things in the garage and office, I could put a pork loin on the grill, and then keep it in the refrigerator so we can just cut and heat up during the week.
So, I did a great job rubbing it, even splitting it and put cheese and ham on the inside and tied it back together with string, put it on the grill, indirect heat to do it "low and slow" like it should be done and continued with my other tasks.......fast forward....this morning my wife went outside to take the dogs out, came back in and said, a little sarcasticly, "I think your pork loin is ready" F^$#%#&^$*&%, I forgot all about it and went to bed with the gas grill chugging along... I created petrified charcoal:facepalm::frusty:

One for the wall of shame....

 I'm all for "well done" but that's pushing the envelope a little too much for me! Bet you won't let it happen again...AND I bet that every time you go out to grill something your wife will remind you of this incident!
