The 20" double row can be side mounted correct? How does the combo part work? Do you have a 3 position switch?

Yes, it can. If you look back earlier in the thread you should be able to find some photos of the mounting setup.

The combo part is combo all the time. There is just one switch. The outer sections are a flood reflector while the inner is spot. All of the LEDs are on all the time.

    JasperOffRoad...

I'm looking for lights to mount onto the back of my Flippac camper for camp light. Would that be a suitable application for the 6" small pod light that throws a huge 1300 lumens? Iwant plenty of light...I'll mount two of them, one to a side...but don't want the light output to be blinding. Just a good flood of light.

    Thanks

bkmcity posted some shots of the 6" pods in this thread not too long ago. It sounds like you are looking to light up your campsite. The lights will probably put out more light than you are looking for although I have not seen what the flood pattern beam looks like yet. They really do put out a lot of light and they reach pretty far, which might not be ideal for your situation.

I could see it working with one of them in a flood pattern or two mounted out at an angle to the sides. The spill light would be your campsite light while the full beam would illuminate a bit into the distance around you.

When do you expect that the 3" square pods are going to be back in stock? And is there any way to get them in an amber led in a flood pattern or no??

Can someone please explain to me the difference between flood, fog, and spot lights? From the pics I've seen, fog lights are usually installed below the headlights to cut through the fog I'm guessing and spot lights are usually either level with the headlights or sit higher or even on the top of the truck via a headache rack.

You can install them however you want, but spot patterns will throw light in a 10-20 degree cone, while flood will be more light 60-80 degrees. There's a picture somewhere, I'll find it.

3" pods in spot and flood pattern will be back in stock right around Feb. 28th.

We are working on Amber, probably still a ways out though.

For a true fog light, I like to run spot pattern lights mounted down low. Flood pattern tends to cast too much light upwards too close, lighting up the fog in front instead of the road ahead.

So if they're in stock "around" the 28th are we still gonna get the discount? Isn't that the last day for the TW discount?

    :(

    :(

:D Is there any clip on covers, similar to most of the round lights out there that would work with these or anything similar to the yellow Laminx that we could stick on????

Thanks again for the group buy. Will defiantly be grabbing some of those when I can.

You could easily stick some laminx on these......the lens is recessed a little bit from the casing of the light so the laminx wouldn't peel off easily

Laminx would be super easy to apply and a good interim solution.

At the end of the month we should have amber lenses available along with the clear that the lights ship with now. Not as good as a true amber LED but better than Laminx or some other solution. Clip on covers are in the works as well.
