Attempting to pass a law taking guns away would 1) be too obvious & elicit reaction plus push back and 2) wouldn't pass. At least not yet anyway. The state isn't blue enough. Yet.

These incremental steps are actually worse because too many pro2A guys are too quick to say 'no big deal' when it is. Each one takes us closer & closer. Not to mention we now have a de facto firearm tax (universal background checks + the burden for the buyer to pay for it thanks to two new bills) and the single biggest hurdle to firearm registration in this state cleared. Make no mistake, we are at war for our constitutional rights. It's just too bad only one side knows it.

That is why I oppose the limit on rounds in mags, but we are lucky for now that its not limited to 7.

I am not saying no big deal, and my statement was not a "no big deal statement".

Saying this in the least political way possible, we have been at war for our rights in my generation since 2008.

Well, finally made some decent progress tonight. Cut the passenger side bedside and got the passenger side all tacked in place. The feeling of cutting up a perfectly good body panel on an expensive vehicle was not a fun one during the cutting and just after when I saw the gaping hole. I feel A LOT better now that there's something there to take it's place.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do for the bedside support that I cut out. I will probably fab up some sort of bracket and utilize the stock mounting point on the frame and attach it to the part of the bedside that is hidden by the fender flare with a tack weld.

What did you do for yours?

i made a bracket that goes from the two rivnuts in the bottom of the bed then made a nice mount that i bolted to the bed side behind the fender flare then connected the two with a 1/8 inch round stock so it holds it nice and firm but would allow it to bend and move around enough not to damage anything

A small handful of select mods.
Austin you are referring to the purchase of new mags right? If I already have several in my possession already they can be used at the range still? Or will I have to just bring my 11rd mags to the range. BTW the wife and I will be coming down Friday afternoon to do some shooting

On that winch if you pick it up you should do a rebuild on it before you install it. I can help with that .
Ben the bumper is looking bad ass. Do you have a leg support going back to the frame on the side? What Scotty at Addicted did on mine was weld a tab right inside the body panel to the leg. I then put a of rubber gas line on top of the tab and bent the tab so it holds pressure against the body panel. The panels do not move at all and the rubber allow the bed to move independently of the frame still.

Phil was asking about you. We knew your name, but forgot your TW name. I think he had a question about the brewery you're at.

I answered this before. The law doesn't affect magazines you already own before the law goes into affect. So you'll be able to use them just like you do now. You can't buy, sell or trade those mags you currently own & you won't be able to acquire any new ones after the law passes either.

Thanks. There will be a leg on it back to the frame once it's done. I have a piece of scrap metal tacked in place at the moment to just help make it a little more rigid so I can drive to work with it that way.

If I'm understanding what you and Scotty did, your bedside support is held in tension and not actually physically attached on both ends? If so, that's an interesting approach I had not thought of. I'll have to look into it. Thanks!
