Yeah Ost I did see your first answer. Maybe I was reading a bit too much into Austin's reply but I got a sense that you may not be able to use them in a range setting if the laws pass. My question is a bit ahead of thing so my efforts at the moment would be better spend sending emails and letters to legislation.

 

I have a new shot gun I need to go shoot some sporting clays with.

 

The tab is welded to the support leg that goes back to the frame on my design. It extends upward right behind the bed panel. I cut lengthwise a piece of rubber gas line and RTVed it on the end of the tab. Then by bending the tab toward the body panel until it created tension, I adjusted it so there was contact, but the bedside does not stick out too far. They do not flap in the wind. I will see if I can get a shot of it later for you.

Either I have a thrower for skeet shooting. But sporting clays is fun up at Colorado clays, I like sportin clays because it can changes where the clay gets thrown from ie: position, height, direction. Or just go to cherry creek for skeet shooting its cheap and close there.

Who here was it that worked at a shooting range? Where was it?

 

Blue core. Different type of range. Sweet place though. I still need to drop in and put some rounds through my pistols there.

 

I have been wanting to try some sporting clays, I have a nice thrower but nothing like those. I think if I changed the angle on mine to throw it along the ground I would break 100% of the pigeons.

Finding 12ga trap loads hasn't been fun lately.

 

Yeah I use a hand thrower. Cherry creek is just a spring action, Colorado clays are all electronic.

 

Either way I'm in. We can prolly just go to cherry creek it's close to both of us.

 

most of the trails around here are closed for the winter. sevenmile is still open but its about 45min west of ft collins. pretty easy trail though. i may try to hit it up on saturday and you're welcome to join.

Blue Core is in Lakewood off of Wadsworth and Evens. ffemt2987 works there. I like their blend of education, skillz, and tactical training offered. As with any range right now they are always busy. One nice thing to note is BC is not retail hiking on weapons. Same prices as they always have been.
