    Hi there!
What the "Locker Anytime (for 4WD only)" mod does exactly?
    Locker Anytime
Is it applicable to all models?

Well, it allows you to utilize your locker anytime instead of just in 4 low.

Makes it so you can lock the rear axle in 2HI and 4HI.

I thought this mod would allow you to use it in 2WD too. Wouldn't suprise me if I was wrong. It's happened a time or two before. :D

Do we have to install a switch or something to turn it "On and Off" (Locked/Unlocked)?
I don't see any in the mod?

I'm not THAT familiar with this mod.

Do you have a locker already?

If you have the sport model, you wont have a rear e locker, unless its aftermarket. There won't be a switch on your TRD Sport :)

It looks like you have the Sport... only the Off-Road has the locker.

yes, from what I understand, it activate in 4wd Lo, or in 2wd mode if I activate the switch to turn off the "Auto LSD and VSC".

I don't think you have a locker. If you had one there would be a separate switch to activate it. It wouldn't just automatically engaged with 4WD.

Do you have the TRD Offroad?

If No, then.....no because you don't have a locker.

NOTE: Anyone who has a locker and does this mode while under warrantee, BE CAREFUL. If you break something in the driveline because you were locked in 4hi or 2WD, Toyota could deny coverage because you tampered with the system.

    Hi!
No I don't have the TRD Off-Road, but the TRD-Sport version. As you can see in the owner's manuel, it's written explicitly not to drive with these system "off" all the time(LSD-VSC"Off"), just like you said. I guess it's not like the real "locker" system, but it's something close to it since they say a greater effort will be necessary to turn the steering wheel with these "off" (see "CAUTION" section). You're absolutely right about the warranty. Anyway, (like I said to my dealer!) they'll find anything to tell you that you are not coverted by the guarantee for this or that because you "played with it!".

Yeah, the TRD Sport doesn't have the locker. The 'locker-on' mod wouldn't apply to your truck. The Auto LSD system is a totally different thing than the locker.

But I definately learned something - I *thought* the Auto LSD was automatic and on constantly - kinda like the ABS/traction control/vsc. But according to that picture, they don't want you to use it unless you have to. Weird....
I'm glad I got the mechanical LSD. All those electronic stuff is baffling.
Makes me wonder when they'll come out with an AWD tacoma.

Don't know. But it's kind of nice to have the control on it.
