I'm lucky because ARB USA is about fiteen minutes away, so Johny put my springs on Will Call and that gave me a reason to go visit the friendly, helpful folks at ARB. ;)

Typical. This is why he's behind a counter and not in back wrenching. If it isn't a 5 second question regarding one of their expensive tires or trendy wheels on the wall they have no clue.

Honestly it's worth it for me to pay the extra couple hundred dollars and have excellent in-person service from the likes of Toytec.

I thought about it some more and if the Dakars don't give me disturbing amounts of rake I'll probably just purchase the OME kit from Toytec.

This way my tax money goes to the state I live in and I'm supporting a local company. Two things I value.

Good job. Some large companies have become too corporate to care, with people answering phones who are looking more forward to lunch than going out back and asking the mechanics and actually trying to help a customer. You probably intimidated him since you knew more than he did. If it were me, I'd call back and ask for the manager and let him know you were treated rude and hung up on. Get back at that idiot a little. Or just move on and never deal with them again, when they're out of business and everyone is going to ORW they'll think about it.

Eh, that's not my style. I'm not vindictive and didn't take it personally. I just move on.

It is nice that when I was on the phone with Toytec at any moment Julie was willing to connect me with Dylan. And when I go down to them (when I have cash in hand) to look over my truck and discuss my needs, he will be the one talking with me.

Like I told someone else the other day... the extra $200 will be forgotten in ten years but the quality of service and product won't.

just as an update i did receive the ARB OME kit from 4wheelparts and it does NOT come with rear shackles or U-bolts. It did come with bushings, exhaust relocation brackets though.

Did you get the Dakars as well? If so, you are def. going to need those new ubolts.

I ontacted ARB about this and they said since I have a 99 I will not need new ubolts. I probably will replace them anyways just because I like shiny new stuff.

Thank you, very happy with it now that it sits up a little more than the 880's gave me. This was the height I was hoping the 880's and just the 5 pack would give me but that didnt happen.

I wonder if I'd get the same height out of a full OME suspension with 881s

I would say yes if not exactly the same it will be very close. I would have went full OME kit but I really thought my original set up was going to be tall enough but it wasnt, if i had to do it again I would. All that aside it sits and rides just how I want so I am happy. Cant wait to see yours done when you do it.
