I'm new to toyota and I'm looking into getting an 05-12 tacoma and I have heard nothing but good things of tacomas. I was wondering what would be a safe mileage to look for in a used one. I'm not sure of how high the mileage can usually go with them. I'm looking at one for $15,000 but it has 131,000 miles on it. Is this a good deal or what should I look for?

60k-80k miles sounds like a good realistic number, of course for the amount your willing to pay itll probably have around 90k miles depending on the model your after. What specifcally are you looking for?

I searched for my truck for over 3 months. You can look to spend anywhere from 11,500 and up for a nice Prerunner and 14k and up for 4x4s.If you can find one with 85k or less then those are the nice ones the ones that have 55-60k or less on them you just as well buy a new one cuz they ask 4 prices for them..

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
131k isn't high mileage for a toyota, and that price seems fair for the amount of miles.

Ok thats what I was wondering. I found one just like what I wanted and they're asking 16k for it and it has 84k miles on it. Sound like a deal or should I keep looking?

It's an 06 and a manual and pretty good shape. Looks like it could use all new tires and that's about it.
