anyone know if you can reliably tune a cb antenna with an swr meter on the antenna side? I moved my antenna from my bedrail to my bumper, but I mounted the the box for my cobra 75 in a place I can't really access.

 

Texan with a question for the San Diego guys - Has anyone done the Stone Brewery tour? I'm going to be out by LA for about a week the first of September and I'm looking for stuff to do when I'm not at my brother-in-law's wedding. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton when I was out there with the Marines; but I'd rather avoid the standard military bar tour.

So, any help/advice?

Alex if you have never been you need to go at least once. take a ton of pics too.

 

you need an antenna analyzer, a conventional SWR meter needs the transmit power in order to activate the circuits.

my boy bandit, tears his ACL, and is in the vet over night. 2500$ oof. thought it was just a sore leg from him jumping around like a kangaroo. found the dog about 3 years ago at a gas station in el cajon at about 11 at night. all black, about 45 lbs. thought he belonged to this guy getting gas beside me. guy fills up and leaves, i turn around and this dog is just hanging out. it was raining , cold as hell, and right off broadway and 1st st. he was either going home with me, or ending up roadkill. figured we'll take him home, feed him then find a home for him. put him in the toy hauler that night, and he fucking destroyed it. despite the carnage, there was something about him that just stuck with me. needless to say this free dog is really racking up the $$.

 

hmm, should i build a street legal car to DD, then SAS my truck?

 

If you are moving tenesippi or louisabama or where ever in the south, just buy a cheap blazer or bronco. They come with small blocks and have fun with it. Or pick up a 4wd sb full size truck that is reliable as a toy. Then have a car or keep your 4 banger yota which is a car that can haul parts for your toy and haul your quad long distances for less money. That is the opinion of the guy from the south.
