I think every dude has a story like this. I was crazy about a chick since high school. We started dating end of high school, then I went to college. When I came home for break she got a BF. Then I got a GF and she became single. This continued through college with flings on and off through summer. I was crazy about her.

Then towards the end of my first year of medical school she started talking to me and acting quite interested. I came home for a full summer between my 1st and 2nd year, and we started talking again after a year not talking. We were both single and I still liked her a shit ton. I invited her to a party one night and we hit it off again. My buddy dropped us off in a boat but he dropped me at my house first and then her cuz hers was on the way. I was like ummm ok.
Long story short we hung out a few more times and she acted kind of wierd. We went to the bar one night with several of her firends and on the way home, with my same buddy he opted to sit in the back by her while leaving the front seat wide open. WTF. Later that week he admitted to kissing her after dropping me off in the boat several weeks prior. I was like WTF. She didn't know who she wanted at this point. We hung out once and kissed and the next day she tells me she isn't ready for a boyfriend.
I was bummed out, and then I went back to med school out of state. I immediately learn she is dating my ex best friend same guy she kissed after telling me she doesn't want a BF.

here comes the kicker, my first week of leaving after this shitty summer, I meet my now wife. Who was WAAAAY hotter. We haven't talked since.

What goes around comes around. Don't be surprised if you have many more encounters with this girl in the next 8 years to come...if you really like her. Can't escape Karma.

 

I went to Prom. As someone else said earlier, spend the money on something else. I believe weed was suggested. Truck parts, or bacon would qualify as well. Hindsight is 20/20.
