there is a spot where I'm sure I would be able to add a grease zerk fitting. i may do that in the near future and just grease it till I see grease. I'm sure but not sure if that would help the bolts at cams from seizing up?

It's supposed to, the issue is supposedly simply that those bushings get no grease from the factory, so it's a matter of time until they get seized.

Huh?? What was wrong with the calipers causing that, was it a piston problem? I thought usu spongy was a bleeding problem, fluid level, or master cylinder issue?

So, anyone have a stock air cleaner box for a 3.4l first gen laying around, or want to trade yours for a k&n cai?

I may be picking up a snorkel for my truck, and need a stock intake.

Y'all know how the first gen calipers can come apart, right? Well where the fluid flows through the calipers, there are two flat o-rings, one on the top of the caliper and the other on the bottom. I can provide pics if you are confused... Anyways they had broken and started to cause a leak on the drivers side. The passenger side caliper leaks as well but it's not as bad. If this doesn't fix the problem, then it is the master cylinder.

Can't plan it all until I get it all. The only thing that has arrived is the new clutch spring that I ordered.

I had to cancel the order on the alcans, they were out of stock and said they wouldn't be in for a few weeks, same with wheelers springs.

So I ordered a set of ome springs from toytec, got my fingers crossed that they are in stock. Annoys the hell out of me when companies can't update their website with in stock or not info.

Was going to place an order for a set of Stubbs welding kickout sliders last but found out that you cant purchase then through their website. You have to call them. So I'll have to call them after work today.

Other then that, I'll ne picking up an arb snorkel soon too.

And of course, still searching for a cab replacement and random used parts, but it's slowly coming together.

It's sitting in front of my place right now, has been for a week. Already installed a new exhaust on it. Now that I can hear myself think while driving it, I noticed that it needs a power steering pump. I couldn't hear it whining before. Basically, I want to get any mechanical bugs worked out of it before I drive it to much.

It runs and drives good right now though. Just some minor stuff that annoys me.

Gotcha. Makes sense. I though it was like, "Spongy brakes... replace calipers." and was gonna say you oughta check a bunch of other stuff before you go replacing calipers. Sounds like that's your problem though.

To the HSV members.. I've heard a rumor that the truck that looks identical to mine now has a Spy sticker on the back in the same location.. I found out that some buddies of mine sped up beside him to only to flick him off and wave and they said it was some dark hair guy in a truck like mine with tinted windows.. so if anyone can grab a snapshot of this guy I'd like to see it so I know i'm not crazy! LOL!

So if any body gets a shot of this guy please post it and or if he is on this forum.. please introduce yourself!
