did you guys hear that brad benedicts prototype specialized all mountain bike got stolen? It was in the Santa Cruz mountains. Damn thieves, all you guys in CA or even just the whole west coast keep an eye out.

On a side note they didnt say it was an enduro, might be because it is a prototype but maybe they have something else up their sleeve.

    When was this?

If it made the news, its been striped and repainted. or striped for parts then destroyed the frame.

Anyone leaving bikes unattended at the trail heads are asking for trouble. We leave a go pro running in the truck to catch any action just in case.

Didn't hear that. Not surprised. Hills above Santa Cruz are not the safest place to park or leave your stuff outside.

it was posted yesterday on facebook from specialized. It was from his vehicle so im guessing locked inside his car/van/truck. It did have XX1 and Carbon roval wheels so even if they trash the frame they will make a good chunk of change on the parts.

thats a good idea to leave a gopro though. especially for the pros im sure they have a few gopros or contours or something laying around

There's a great market up near the Demo Forest called Summit Market. Anyway, lots of cyclists go there and sit outside and eat lunch. I don't think we've ever all gone in at once. Someone always watches ;)

Does anybody have any experience sending in a fork to Fox to get serviced?

I'm planning on sending in my Talas fork to be overhauled

Depends on the model. I just bought a bike with a 2012 Talas on it. The guy I bought it from sent in an older one to be overhauled & they'd chaged the design on it & discontinued the parts. They sold him the 2012 at wholesale to replace it.

My friend just sent in his frame shock and they told him the same thing. If they still had parts in stock they would fix it but if they didn't then they would sell him a new one at cost.

Used will probably be the way to go then. More bang for your buck.

Check craigslist, pinkbike.com has a buy/sell section. Check out a local shop and see what they have to offer to though. Also get fitted for the right size frame.

Took a spill last night. Riding at the park we usually go to and went down this smooth flowy section. I like getting up as much speed as I can going through this part. Not technically difficult but it has some nice bumps that you can fly through if you get some speed. I hit the second nice little bump and my left foot popped off my pedal. My right crank arm went down and it clipped this roadway I usually try to clear. I thought I was going to be able to save it but it wasn't meant to be. The worst part is I may have broken my right clavicle. I will try to get in to see the ortho doc today.
