Any ballpark idea what black 1st gen grill assembly would run?

 

Same. All you can really do is laugh at yourself.

 

My city values my truck at $22900. My annual bill is $1050.

Anyone know why my recovery shackle wont fit. It said it fits a 2inch receiver and that is what mine is. It goes in but not all the way to put the pin it. As you can see here, the end it is where is doesnt it. it will go in just not all the way. Dammit

Really though, what hitch do you have, factory?

Measure the depth of the receiver, and see if there is crap in there blocking it from going all the way in. If not and the receiver has a sold back, then break out the angle grinder and go to town

It's factory for sure. There was some rust in it and I took it out but still didn't fit. I don't have a grinder right now. I might see if Amazon can return it and get another one. I'm gonna fittle around with it and see what I can so first

 

Angle grinders are like $30 at home depot/ lowes. Less at Harbor Freight. Just buy a cheap one, they are good to have anyways.

 

Or a sawzall and vice would do the trick

 

What's the issue, is it too large to fit the opening or too long so the shackle mount won't slide back far enough to get the retainer pin through?

 

Yup, my city is poor so I get taxed more than other cities in my state. Couldn't even afford to plow the streets during that blizzard.

 

It fits in it but at the end of the shackle it opened up alittle more and stops. So I can't get the hole to line up so I can get the pin in. I will post a pic of it now

 

jam a screw driver in the hole for the pin and force it back

Haha yep. He was worried about it rattling around thats why he didnt get the smittybuilt one. Makes it harder to steal lol
