While not specifically designed for the Tacoma, search for "car seat heater" on Amazon.com and you'll find at least a dozen or so workable options (heated cushions, pillows, kits, seat covers, etc). Many options available on eBay as well.

Got a quick question on these.

I have Clazzio seat covers on my Tacoma. Do you think it would be okay to place these between the original seat cover material and my Clazzio seat covers? I can probably guarantee that I wouldn't feel the heat through the original seat material and my Clazzio covers. Just wondering if that would be an option that would work?

    tacoma steve,

This probably goes without saying but the heaters are just sitting on your factory seat material, correct?

If I remember right they are in the layers of the seat cover. So I think there may be a layer of fabric between the heater and the seat but not positive.

That's the way I did mine and it's been great for the last two years. I bought these:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/SEAT-HEATER...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc0a3eff2

The carbon fiber pads are very big and an easy install. Heated seats for < $100 = WIN!

You can get aftermarket kits that work pretty well. Installed them into a caravan i had and worked great.

Like Gusher, I ordered my carbon fiber seat heaters off eBay. Cost <$100 delivered for both front seats. I ran the power and ground wires to the fuse box under the dash behind the coin tray. I used a fuse doubler for the power which I took off the right rear window circuit which is obviously switched off by the ignition. The following is a picture of the heater seat switches for driver's and passenger seats. These were simply pressed into the 5/8" hole I bored through the plastic console. I'm glad they look okay as my wife tends to have opinions about my projects.

Looks great man. I like where you located your switches a lot...out of the way and looks factory. Nice job. I'm sure you're appreciating them with the weather we've been having!

what did you end up doing? i have my clazzio's on order and am thinking about doing the same thing. any issues with placing the carbon fiber heating elements directly on the cloth seats, or did you add a protective layer, or turn the element upside down as someone suggested?

I put mine right on the seat fabric and then installed my Clazzios and have had no problems. Mine have been that way for more than two years now and I couldn't be happier.

and when you remove them, you're prob going to damage the stock fabric.
if you're going to slap heaters onto couch covers, i mean clazzios, then just affix the heater 'upside down' to the cover itself.
