They come with 9100's and 5160s can be rebuilt. A quick google or phone call and you would know that, but you don't want to add facts, just misinformed and childish posts.

    Who is talking about uca's?

im pretty sure the front shocks are NOT 9100's... the 9100's are the closest TO the baja shocks but they are not exact. also, the 5160's are OE replacement, and meant for NO lift. if you put an AAL with them youd be rebuilding them every year. why waste 400 bucks on those when you can spend another hundred and get icon VS 2.0's?

    X2.

Just letting everyone know, if this is a Bash the Baja thread, there will be infractions given out, and possible bans. Its a fucking Tacoma just like the one you stick your keys in! Knock off the bullshit!

I'm not trying to bash the Baja Tacoma and most of us said it was a fine capable stock truck. The original post appeared to indicate he wanted to put just the suspension of a Baja on a non baja which we were trying to explain how there are better options but somehow that got twisted to the Baja is better than everything..

I don't think anyone has been bashing the baja, just trying to give a comparison to taking a stock truck and adding the Baja's components vs. going aftermarket. Most people have even said that, for a stock truck, the Baja isn't bad at all. :notsure:

You are pretty sure, but wrong. I talked to bilstein, they are in fact 9100s and should be released to the public later in the year.

Both the 5160s and 5100s are rated from bilstein at "0-1" inches of lift.

How many people are running around rebuilding 5100s annually because they're lifted more than 1"?

It's fine that you don't like it, but stop posting misinformation based on your opinions of what you think it might have or not have. At least post up some facts to back it up.

None, you can't rebuild the 5100's as far as I know but people have broken them due to having them on a lifted application (over 1" of lift).

I've been searching and haven't been able to definitively find if the 5160's were rebuildable or not. Did a Bilstein rep tell you they were for sure? I can't even find a rebuild kit for them.

Rear 5100s are good for 3-4" of lift

Partially true... There are 2 different part numbers for the 5100s. One is a stock replacement and is good for 0-1" of lift, the other is good for 3-4" of lift and will likely require other modifications to bump stops and/or brake lines.

Oh I guess it was my impression that if you were going to lift you'd get the extended ones...
