I installed my seat heater elements on top of the cloth seats and under the CalTrend vinyl seat covers. The hot setting is 140 degrees and warm setting is 120 degrees. I have had no problems at all with placing the heaters on the cloth and under the vinyl cover. Cannot feel the inserts.
