it really is too bad these are double the price before import fees of an arb..... and its simply too bad they dont have the support from eaton on this side of the world....

we tried knocking them down from your quoted price as a dealer price and they wouldnt budge.... so i went ARB i couldnt justify spending the extra...

dont get me wrong i think its awesome there is an option but some small simple math

a front locker arb can be had for 750 to 1k, an arb mini pump is like 150 and a good filter set-up is under 20 bucks............

so you be locked in the front for under 1k if played right....

my thing with the elocker with the ridiculous price, i can be locked geared and labor paid.....

the other thing to look at it is, if it does fail where does that leave you.... does it leave you waiting for eaton/harrop to receive it and inspect it before you get a functional diff?? if the magnets fails you are stuck with out the support on the NA soil

the way the potential supplier out the states spun it was, they cant get a discounted price as their is no demand in north america and even if we got the support from this forum it would not be enough to get them to bring them in significant numbers, word on the street was they havent even had the demand in AUS...... just think deep and hard about possibly saving some cash and having OBA for tires isnt such a bad idea

all the power to yah i think an elocker will be cool, you might convince a couple others its the route to go, but bear in mind i backed out based on pricing i cant justify 500 to 600 extra

i really wish OX made a locker for us, i would have jumped on that....

maybe an email to OX would be wise they are north american....

    PLEASE JAMIE

as much as we know how they work and yes you have one installed i personally would like to see more than just ARB this ARB that, i make enough money i could throw another 500 at it and say fuck it and say the same thing but guess what i prefer to keep my money

comments like that are not constructive if youve got nothing better to say than LEAVE & UN SUB,

    END RANT.....

I have considerd all these thing Joe, and you know what, I have done way worse things with my money. I figure this will be a Neat "Trial Run" if you may. and even if it does break down. I still have to rip it out and send it away ARB, Harrop, eaton, ox, yukon. You have to send it away eather way. worst come to worst, i take it out and sell it lol. I just feel if I have already came really close to water locking my motor, I cant imagine what the OBA would do. as you even stated before you got water in your last set and ruined the seals in them... everything has a plus side and a negative side. its just what pros and cons you want to go with, me I dont get along with air systems, never have and never will. Electrical I get along with real well, so i figure go with what I know. Now That aside, Yes arb is great, but you cant dis something if you have never tried it. I am reading reveiws and im happy with them. and for the amount ill use it, having the potential off having moisture trapped in my air system or even worse, in the locker, its worth the extra $4-$600 for peice of mind that the evil fluid we call "Water" has not destroyed something that I have put a large sum of $$ into.... My .02 and feeling will let know when locker is ordered.

Take it easy. It's a joke, just busting balls in this thread.

But I'm not joking when I say they work well. Btw I have two, not one. Duh.

air systems are just as easy as electrical just need to think of hollow wires that dont bend as well :p

just bear in mind, I can have a locked front diff from ecgs shipped to me within a 24-48 hr window and be back up and running on the trail.... hell ecgs shipped my locker on a holiday monday(even in the states) and it was on my door step today by 3pm.....

i look forward to seeing how it performs, i know it will be fine, but ill ulimately come down to the cost and the ability to be able to have something to me on trail if i need
