Overhead console custom switch panel

I am working on a prototype for the guys that want to keep the compass/temp. The new type of console I am build will be clear of the mirror. Yes, I ran my wires up the pillar and under the headliner. Its really easy to run the wires. I love my setup that is why I decided to build some so everyone has an option to install switches without cut/triming your interior all up!

 

Well, I'm down to test your prototype for you! I like the cockpit style thing you've got here! Count me in!

 

Got any free sample consoles for locals?

Woohoo! I'm thinking something that doesn't come down more than an inch. I'm fully willing to lose my sun glasses holder as well if that helps....I wear glasses so I never wear Sunglasses

 

I am thinking about building one with a scangauge or ultra gauge in it. Would anyone be interested in that?

I'd like to be able to have an ultra gauge and 4 switches somehow
As well as compass/temp gauge

 

I think I can do a ultra gauge and 3 switches.

 

I think the ultra gauge would be hard to see when its mounted in the sunglass holder area.

 

Ahh yea...well I don't need the ultra gauge...

 

damn i want one now. oops too late i already have holes everywhere. but i still want one and maybe ill just replace the parts that are already cut up? but anyway, ill take one.

 

Hey honestly if you can make one backwards for me...keep the console pretty much stock a is, just replace the sunglasses holder with switches

 

I'm almost tempted to just cut holes in the holder now and throw switches in, will be easy to wire up because it just flips down lol

 

Someone on here has done that, I don't recall his username but it is a SWB Tacoma. Looks pretty clean too.

 

Interesting...looks like OP better hurry up with this custom console before I overcome my laziness...so that means you have like a month, OP

 

Or you could be patient and buy this console that looks stock instead of cutting up a sunglass holder and having it look outta place lol. IMO that would look better lol
