Yeah looking at their site, it's $300 + $125 for bolt on + $125 for powdercoat, before discount. Don't know if the 30% applies to it all, or just the slider price though. If it applies to it all, then a fully setup pair of sliders is still only $385 which is still very nice.

I have no experience with these but if they are nerf bars I'd say no. Addicteds sliders and trail gear sliders are around $200 and stout without the jimundo kick out. But BAMF stuff is great quality.

I was under the impression that the kick out would add protection should you find yourself using the sliders as intended. Is that not the case? Or is it just the look that makes you not a fan?

I'm trying to gather as much info from those who know more than me as I can before I commit to this. Personally, I'm one to put function before form so if it's just a cosmetic thing but the function is greater then I'll go that way.

BAMFs, no kickout, with bolts for us non-welding types, bare metal, is $298 + shipping with the sale.

Personally, I was thinking 80" (DCSB) w/kickout and bolt on option.
Comes to $325.50 + whatever shipping is
I like the idea of bolt on so I can remove them for whatever reason if needed.
Figured bare metal because it seems like a silly thing to powdercoat to me. If I paint them myself with Rustoleum or some such, touchup would be a 30 second process.

Sounds like you might be interested in splitting shipping Will? I know there's a Fastenal just north of us on 66.

The nerf steps and other step bars like them attached to the actual cab of the truck and not the frame. If you're not aware, the cab floor is thin guage sheet metal. It will bend and/or tear if you use a nerf step or other like step bars to function like actual rock sliders.

They can take minor abuse. But for the cost and piece of mind, I wouldn't even bother with them if you plan to wheel it.

Yeah bare metal makes it easy to bedline them with Rustoleum or Duplicolor and easy touch up. I've been in a non project mode for so long I keep looking for finished items instead of realizing that 30 minutes of work will save $100. Owned a car for too long :)

Yeah, I've got to see if I have the cash before the 25th, but if I do, splitting shipping makes total sense.

Thanks. I looked at the install instructions for the nerf steps and they didn't look like they were going into the frame but I figured maybe it was me just not seeing the picture correctly. Guess not. Real sliders for the win, short people can jump :)

    There ya go.
Yes and no. It can hang you up with the tightness of Colorado trails. All preference.
Sean and Chris had them on their 2nd gens.

I bed lined mine and it sucks. Does not stay on well with wheeling. I will prolly strip mine down this summer and just spray paint them again.

now im wondering if i wanna go with BAMF standard sliders or try and contact scotty at addicted to make me a set that are tucked in nice and close to the cab like yours devin

    CRAP, DECISIONS, DECISIONS

another option is contacting the guy that built Bens out in grand junction, i saw them the other day and they are sick looking!!! really close to the cab as well and pretty unique design

You can mount any as close as you want most come unassembled. Not sure about BAMF but addicted gives you the slider, pegs, and mounting plate. You pick the angle and how close to the cab you want it mounted. My demellos were the same way.

Ok, so I talked to BAMF and got a few questions answered.
I'm gonna go on this so if anyone is on the fence and has questions about shipping or partial payments let me know and I'll pass along the information I recieved.
I can have sliders pallet shipped to a business to save on shipping costs for anyone interested.
