Show off your fish

ive got a neighborhood lake filled with bass...its not even fair how easy it is to catch em ahah

its prob been a year or so since i did any trout fishing in the mountains..sure do miss it

well..i lived in colorado for 4 years..so did a lot of fishing up in the mountains.

also while we lived out there we took a few trips to montana and to yellowstone and had incredible fly fishing.

then we lived in virginia and did some there.

then north carolina and did some there.

most recent was NC.

have also done some salmon and steelhead fishing in NY

 

Officially asked off for the 2nd weekend in April so I can head to Arkansas. Gonna spend Friday, Saturday, Sunday fishing then come back Monday

Thank ya. I got to fish for about 2 hours. Just wading. It was really slow, I only caught 4. The other 3 were like 12". That one might have gone 17 or 18".

Final tally for the day was probably 10-12 reds and 1 trout.

Took pictures of probably half the fish.

Dwalden: let me know how you make them and recipes if you wish. You can pm me of course. I used to make a nice fried rainbow trout when I was in the restaurant business.

 

Nothing special. I typically just wrap them in aluminum foil and throw them on the grill. Put some butter, lemon, pepper, maybe some other stuff, if I have anything layin around I think would be good) inside of them. Usually have to cook em anywhere between 10-20 mins. If you do it right, when you take the aluminum foil off, the skin comes right off with it.

OR...if I feel like taking the time to do it, and the fish are decent size, I'll butterfly filet them, lay them flat on a pan, put all stuff on top of them, and pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes. (I don't do that often because I'm too lazy to filet them.)

 

Ok I have done that as well hundreds of times.

What kind of fishing do you go for there D, streams, rivers or lakes? . Dont know much about the fishing there
