    I was always under the impression that Jeep guys didn't even really take the Liberty seriously. There is a small following for the rare diesel liberties though. I think those are kind of interesting.

    seems like all the new SUVs are now being morphed into cross-overs. they are stretched and lowered. i hate this new cross-over fad. They are the new mini van.

    There was an article on autoblog today with an alleges uncovered view of it and news that they might be using the Cherokee nameplate instead of Liberty. Not sure if that was mentioned in the motor trend article I didn't read through it.

    Good riddance, IMO. I can't speak for its off road prowess, but just as a car it outright sucked. I had it as a rental on multiple business trips and it was terrible--flat uncomfortable seats, weird sitting and pedal position, harsh ride, and the climate control was either too cold or too hot. Not to mention the crap quality and finish of the interior materials.
