So I have a 2008 TRD prerunner. I loved that truck. I moved to Germany and sold it. So, I am going to buy a 2013 or 2014 and have it customized at the dealer. My price limit is 44K. So I found this company that can do the build. Oddly enough they are on ebay and claim to specialize in these types of customizations. I want to have the options done at the dealer and shipped here so it has to be all inclusive.

So I know I am opening up a can of worms but what does everyone think?

Way overpriced IMO and that's not even a 12.. it has an 11 front end.

Buy one from the dealer for 30k, and mod it with 15k youll get a truck thats twice as badass as that ebay crap

Way too much money for what is probably a spacer lift.. you could build the same truck yourself for $35000. Talk to Mr. TRD he does the same thing and would hook you up better

Ok I jumped the gun a little, they have a 12 further down the page and it looks nice but it's way overpriced. They are charging way too much for an OME lift and a tire carrier..

It's a 12. The one shown was an example of past years, have to keep scrolling

Its not that bad, but overpricing aside I think it limits your choice of components, its saves time though :)

My hang up here is I have to buy it "of the shelf" so to speak because I am in Germany and cannot take it to the local wheel shop. The vehicles shown are examples of past work. They said they do a rock crawler suspension lift. I was ver adamant that I do not want a space lift. I was thinking TRD offroad and the spend 10-15k in mods. Unfortunately I will not be doing the project until November.

I am looking for any place that I can by the truck and have it modded for me. I would go to any shop and buy the truck and have it modded. Anyone got any recommendations that specialize in selling the Taco and modding it?

not a rock crawler. but nice truck. as long as your want looks, cool, but i wouldn't go beating the hell out of it.

if they really built it for rocks it would have sliders, not steps lol

Thanks everyone, lots of good ideas. My intent is not to buy it from this dealer but find a place that does this. When I saw it, it made me miss my Taco. I want to start all over and do it right.

I'd call ARB in the states and see if they can help out. They're always posting builds of "customers rides" on Facebook.

you can buy it from dealer brand new with stuff already on it i.e. lift, tires, armour, wheels, cab, everything. Tell them what you want and the have customization shops that do the work they cant for them and you can tie this all into your loan. If that is what you are looking for.

ARB manufactures Rear Lockers and other off road parts but if you buy a TRD it should have lockers on it. I didnt as i bought base and am customizing myself to be better than a TRD
