I like the look when theyre solid white... Just not the flashy strobe multi color business.

You are not allowed to have any red or blue forward facing lights. You are not allowed to have blue rear facing lights either unless you are an emergency veh. It does not make a difference whether you are off road, on road, off hwy or on hwy.

38346. A person shall not display a flashing or steady burning red or blue warning light on an off-highway motor vehicle except as permitted by Section 21055 or when an extreme hazard exists.

21055. The driver of an authorized emergency vehicle is exempt from Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 21350), Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 21650), Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 21800), Chapter 5 (commencing with Section 21950), Chapter 6 (commencing with 22100), Chapter 7 (commencing with Section 22348), Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 22450), Chapter 9 (commencing with Section 22500), and Chapter 10 (commencing with Section 22650) of this division, and Article 3 (commencing with Section 38305) and Article 4 (commencing with Section 38312) of Chapter 5 of Division 16.5, under all of the following conditions:

    (a) If the vehicle is being driven in response to an emergency call or while engaged in rescue operations or is being used in the immediate pursuit of an actual or suspected violator of the law or is responding to, but not returning from, a fire alarm, except that fire department vehicles are exempt whether directly responding to an emergency call or operated from one place to another as rendered desirable or necessary by reason of an emergency call and operated to the scene of the emergency or operated from one fire station to another or to some other location by reason of the emergency call.

Just dont buy them no matter how cool it looks. You will not do well in front of a judge if you decide to fight the ticket. Or if you get arrested for impersonating a Police Officer.

Having the lights installed (red/blue) is an infraction. Getting caught using them is a misdemeanor. California Penal Code Section 538d. Then goes down hill from there. Truck gets towed held as evidence. Your driver lic gets suspended.

    Just stuff to think about.

While I can see your point, and did read the post completely, I do not see where it says you can not have them even installed. According to your post, the statute 38346 says flashing or steady burning. If I have them installed, but not turned on, they are neither flashing, nor steady burning. Besides, if you have the halo lights like they are showing, that are LED lights, an officer couldn't tell if they were red, blue, or green if they were turned off.

I do agree that you should not operate the vehicle on the road with any of the halo lights on except white.

White and Amber are legal Daytime Running Lights in MOST states. White is legal in all, i.e. new mercedes, lexus, audi DRL's. All other colors are for show purposes only.

Haven't checked the forums in a while, glad to see this Tacoma video is still going strong :) We update our facebook everyday with new pictures. Hope to get some more Taco owners set up soon!

I have been waiting to do a 2011 Tacoma forever!! I love doing new original jobs. This is what I love to do! The only thing stopping how far we can take a project is our customers' budget. We try our best to work with a said budget. I do understand when a pair of headlights can cost $1000+ that its alot of money to spend for headlights, but I assure you that anything that comes from us is definitely worth the money. So if there are any last generation Tacoma model owners out there ready to get modded let me know! You guys are awesome! Thanks.

No need to troll. Yes there is a huge market for this. Personally I wouldn't go as extreme as some of these guys go, but everyone has a personal preference. If you don't like it, feel free to not come in here and read/post.

Personally I think it is crazy to lower a truck and take it to within 2 inches or less of the ground, yet thousands of other truck owners out there love to do this. You also don't find me in any of those threads either.

I have some extra pairs too lol! The material cost for LED halos are not cheap. I would be willing to work a customer a price break out. I wouldn't necessarily call it a guinea pig job, because it will come out absolutely flawless like all my jobs.

I saw a Camero with these at Cars and Coffee this weekend.

They were pretty cool looking when you are parked.

    EXACTLY!

There's tons of stuff people do to their Tacomas that I don't like so i don't say shit. If that's what they like then COOL!!

If everyones truck looked exactly alike then shit would suck.

So stay out of fuckin threads with stuff you don't like, or look but don't post!!!
