things should be coming along...brandon is just waiting to drop in the 3rd to see if the drive shaft is long enough or short enough for the new axle. and he should be mounting the new bump cans as well.

axle is mocked up and bump cans are getting welded on....leafs are cycled around 19" he still needs to put all the leafs back together to see if there is any separation at droop. cross bars are cut out as well. time for the real work to begin now. ha ill probably need new glass eventually since the rear is so bloddy wide.

Why did he cut out the crossmembers?
Better put another one back in where the damn shackles are at or you'll rip that shit to pieces.

Yup and it wasn't good at all he said. A simple x brace would have been fine. Not trying to argue with anyone but I'm putting my trust in BTF now and no one else till I learn how to weld myself.

Positive. How else would I be able to have a dual tire carrier with that old brace in the way?

I run dual spares and I have 2" receiver stock splitting them and a crossmember holding them up.
    Just saying....

you old crossmember looked good, idk if they have a different design that they think will work better.
Are they doing something like this now? It does take up less space, but I dont know how much stronger it is, I can see both sides to the story.

probably just the way they have their design the old cross members wouldn't work with the new tire carrier. even adam said that he would have to cut his old cross members out for the tire carrier. i guess ill just have to wait and see and if i bend it then guess it will need more support.
