    it sorta is, i've driven both of his trucks, and with the 4.0 i had to pay attention to keep it at the speed limit. (it likes to get up and go)

    Lol right. I have to constantly restrain myself...which leads me to believe supercharging may not be the best idea for me...

    whoa whoa whoa, supercharging (any type of forced induction for that matter) is not a bad idea.

    here here!

    even a S/C 4.0 is a slug compared to a nice car with 1/2 the HP... I feel neglected by cops ever since getting my taco (but I'm not complaining)..

    what car did you have?
    a cousin back in Virginia has a wrx that he turned into a machine that guns down STI's, he took me 0-55 (speed limit) and man that was fast, that was before he had the STI tranny to so no hard shifting.

    I had an STi, but def not stock :cool:
    If a WRX wasn't strong enough to blow up their 5-speed they likely weren't catching me haha

    But the STi 6-speed was so expensive, I know guys with modified rex's that went through two or three 5-speeds and still spent less than a single STi trans. I didn't realize how close the motors were and was sold on the suspension and styling .. at least I had a slightly higher platform to jump from when I started modding :rolleyes:

    Somewhat sleeper .. traded the STi wing for a WRX style but left the roof spoiler... wish I had just gone with a flat trunk and lip spoiler tho, the downforce was plenty

    what mods? :edit, man she's pretty

    yeah, my cousin was pushing just about the max HP you can be running without having a catastrophic failure. i think he ended up spending the $5-6k because he didn't want to burn through tranny's once he got married, and he wasn't sure if his lady would be happy with him spending that much on his car.

    yeah, $6k sounds about right. crazy.

    I was originally a COBB stage 2 (custom dyno session) with turboback exhaust, ~330 to the wheels.
    Eventually upgraded the turbo, injectors, and added a high capacity I/C in the OEM top-mount location.. I think it was ~375 @ 25PSI... sooo many speeding tickets

    ::edited for correct numbers

    unfortunately no. I was just about to buy a set of snow tires and steel rims for winter, but ended up trading for the newer bodystyle instead. got an '09 hatchback that I kept stock until the Tacoma.

    I hit some dirt roads a couple times when I was mountain biking, it was a blast! the looks on peoples faces when I came sideways around a turn with 2 mountain bikes standing on the roof was priceless!
    (people out of harm's way .. I only hoon responsibly)
