My comment was only to remind you that you have no idea why the other person needs to pass you and it could be for an important reason.

I agree with getting out of the way even if I may or may not be speeding. If they are in a hurry let them get the ticket further down the road. I don't NEED to be in that lane anyways.

I remember going white water rafting (back in california) and my buddy goes (why do you change lanes so much) we were 2 lane hwy 99 headed south .... i go cause you aint supposed to be in the left lane unless youre passing ... he goes "YOURE DOING 80 MPH!" ... I go yeah and you notice im still getting passed every now and then (limit was 65)

I agree but the law is the law if you get pulled over its not the cops fault. And if its a medical emergency an ambulance will meet you where ever you are. A medic can help a lot more than just driving fast to a hospital.

Guys be kind, courteous and respectful of others; Stay out of the left lane unless you're willing to go faster than the person behind you.

That statement I agree with! :D I do hate left lane riders though. Denver is horrible for that from like Speer to broadway with people who are going under te speed limit. It's frustrating.

Tell me about it. And they all go slow because they are afraid another car will jump in from of them from the next lane over. Does our left lane law apply in city limits or is it just outside the city?

It should apply any where. Arron would know better. I was always told just to stay out of it unless I'm passing.

Bottom line.... If someone passes you on your right side, you screwed up.

Not that most drivers will ever understand that.

Drove most of the way into work today in the far right lane, passing most other cars on the road.

I think there's a mental blockage that says something like "I don't want to be in the right lane. That's the slow lane and I don't want to be slow"

I think it's related to the issue that causes people to speed up the minute you begin to pass them. Or the issue that causes someone who was travelling 10mph under the speed limit to absolutely HAVE to be in front of you if you're driving a large truck or van. "I can't be going slower than that van!"

I agree with Ost and Bry. If I'm en-route for med emergency ill call 911 to prep the ER and advise I am coming through city/county such and such and will not be stopping for anyone.
