Weather tech floor mats, fog light any time mod, derped front embelem, Pelfretbilt 3 hoop plate bumper, 10k warn xeon winch-s some leds, pelfreybilt roof rack, scs stealth series rims, wrangler authority tires, BAMF 96" bolt on sliders, BAMF dif skid, some dirt....

my overall intention of the truck is practicality while being very equipped for camping, trails and trips and hauling, in one of my previous replies i was even talking about not even doing a lift as for the CV's, or go ahead n do a diff drop... whole lotta things to get in to at that point
i do want the truck to look differnt but with the overall end result being it being capable...(within reason). i been crusin TW ever since i bought my commuter car to start my credit with intentions of trading in for a tacoma n still check out what's on the forum n check out the possibilities. the one i drove was ok, fancy n what not, but not what i need...er want right now, 36k for sumthen with no navigation, pshh pleeeze, LOL i was picky with the sales guy LOL.
my decision is gonna be new n i know what i want, iam doing this purcahse solo n iam only 23..lol can u say exciting!!!! and i do like it here on TW and believe u me, u will see more of me n pics....eventually..

I would use email to their Internet managers that's how I did mine. I wouldn't waste gas to get jerked around by someone trying to make a commission secondly you know how the vehicle drives so don't do a test drive until you talk numbers I was a car salesmen for a large dodge chrysler jeep dealer for two years after i was laid off and that would always piss the managers off... :) they see buying as an emotional purchase if your not touching it your less attached. And before anyone makes comments I worked at a reputable place that didnt sell junk (other then dodges) I hated working 80 to 90 hours a week and all holidays am weekends but I had a job and I was grateful and believe me it's hot damn hot down here in alabama during the summer being outside for 12 hours selling cars

Don't use the dealer financing the guys in financing make their paycheck off the services they sell and the up charge in interest rate. In alabama they can charge 2 points I've (2 percent interst over what the banks would offer the dealer)

As a salesman I recieved 25 percent of profit on new 30 percent on used an 5 percent of what the finance department made.
I am being upfront with you use a credit union shop Internet sales believe me every Internet deal I did was minimum commission (paid to sales person based on even if the dealer makes nothing on the sale)

Last time I checked that was the name of the game... Also see what your cars worth and don't settle for less its a Toyota it's worth it all and then some ..

That doesn't sound too bad if you can get 84 months the cororolla must have done ya well..
When we used to do no payment for 3 months the dealer would eat the first two payments. Since your first one isn't do for 30 or 45 days. Most finance companies won't do that 3 months deferred payment. Also, i would also see what the payment would be for 72 I remember one of my sales it was only 12 dollars difference between 72 an 84 because of the difference of interest. Secondly, you shouldn't need gap insurance (it covers you from it ifs totaled and you owe more then it's worth it covered the difference) If you were getting a vehicle with a rapid depreciation rate (Kia) then I would highly recommend it for but tacos don't depreciate that much

High interest rate? Screw that. I didn't budge on mine until I got the interest rate I wanted at 0.9%. Also no more long term loans for me (unless its a mortgage for a house). Only 36 months this time around. If you know how to haggle, you can get the truck close to the dealers invoice. And don't buy in to the extra crap they add on. Know what you want and know when to walk out. You're the customer. It's your money.

lol correction they are holding the first payment for 90 days, i beleive the 72 was lik 470..ish range.... i'll be paying 425 for the 84,totally guessing, i liked the 84 month one more :D and i talked to one of the sales ladys a lil while back prior when i test drove my first taco n she was talking about gap insurence.... yea, not getting it, i hit up some other dealers last night, online and they want my corolla, sooo wonder if its worth more at other places, hmmmmm, or the hassle, 9k is what iam offered n she has new tires with 72k on her n is considered in good shape

5% at 84 mths, i figure its worth the higher interest jus incase times get tight i still got a lil wiggle room n if i pay more which their is no penalty to do so, made sure n the sales guy said so it's not that big of a issue, figure my current loan was done in a year n 8 months, 7 years could be done in hmmm...4?

Lets say you get the $2k off msrp at $35k and get your trade in value at $9k. You're looking at a loan of $24k for 84 months at 5%. If you go full term you're paying about $5k in interest which means you're paying above msrp in the end. If you pay it off in half the time you're still paying $2.5k in interest which is still over msrp.

When I took my loan I calculated I will only pay $250 in interest. I got my truck well below msrp at $300 below invoice. In most cases dealerships won't take a loss. But I got the loan at 0.9% instead of the 2.9% that they wanted. They would have made even at 2.9%. But the finance manager didn't think I'd be able to pull off a 0.9% interest rate.:D
