Nice! Watch the trigger return detent and spring when you strip it. The VQ trigger comes with extras if you lose them. Not sure if you're doing the sear too, but it comes with a spring that you don't use - you need to retain the 22/45 sear spring in your gun.

While you have it torn apart, the slingshot mod is a simple removal of the little spring and detent on the slide stop. It makes no sense to me that you can't slingshot a 22/45 slide like you can every other semi auto pistol.

That is about what mine does and at approx 400 yards it was about 3 inch groups. That was the first time shooting it.

Is anyone running an Apex trigger in their M&P? I have been looking at them for a while and would like to get some real world opinions.

I had a P1 for a while when they came into the country in droves a few years ago. I had like $275 in it - if I were a bigger transformers fan I definitely would have kept it around and put a nice glossy pistol scope on it just for the novelty.

Shoot a mag dry, slide (more like a bolt in the 22/45) locks back. insert new mag, pull back on the slide a bit and then let go and it'll fly home. That is, for every semi auto on earth except the 22/45. You have to depress the slide lock to let the bolt fly home unless you remove the tiny detent and spring on the inside of the slide stop. After you remove the detent and spring, you can slingshot it.

Ahh, got it...I knew what that was I guess, just never heard the term for it. I'm totally muscle-memorized to my AR so I've been hitting the bolt release just like I'm used to hitting my BAD lever. I guess I don't seen the advantage to slingshotting as opposed to thumbing the bolt release :notsure:

I guess a couple benefits for me - one is that it replicates my other guns making the manual of arms more simple, and it's a lot easier on the hands to slingshot the bolt than push down on the tiny lever.

Like you said - if you're new to pistols I can see how it makes less sense.
