Did you try and get a pipe to extend the handle on the rachet to get more leverage thats what i had to do to get the castle nut off the the ball joint then to remove the balljoint from the UCA put a jack under the LCA and jack it up to before it starts to rise off your jackstand than heat that motherfucker for a good few minutes then drop the jack and it should pop out! but i mean realistically when i installed my C/O's i didnt have to take the UCA off.

Oh and on another not i installed my Uniden 520xl in the ash tray i couldnt get it flush cause i didnt have a heating source other than a lighter but it only sticks out about 1/2 an inch and i installed my 4ft firestik in the hood channel.

Gotcha. I've been thinking of installing my 510xl in the same spot. This info will be very useful. Thanks.

Its a pretty simple install and is hands down the best spot for a CB in our trucks unless you have a Cobra 75!

Man, I remember trying to remove them from my "80 pickup. They started peeling and then didn't want to come off.

I have a reman rack and pinion in my truck with over a year on it now. No issues. Toyota wants like $800 for a new one.
