What have i done to my Tacoma today...huh...let's see, trying to fix driveline vib. I've changed my carrier bearing. had to take on and off 3X due to another guys Fup $150. that didn't work. take to Toyota, they come back with guess of bent rear driveshaft, ($3,000 please). take shaft to driveline specialist, change all u joints and balance $370. vib. is now jus reduced and not sure where to go from here? can't find topics close enough to my problem to get help from. can't find chat rooms that would do me any good (unless there's one on TW i haven't found) and have now turned that energy into bitching and moaning to my computer.:frusty:
I know this isn't the right thread for this but this one seems to get faster replies than more specific threads. anybody more familiar with TW that could point me in some kinda direction or other sites or had very similar problems? Thanx!:D

When you were R&R'ing your driveline did you remember to mark the flange bolts where the shafts bolt up to the yokes ?? If ya didn't it could be a problem (marking before removing ensures that it bolts back up in original location) & yeah, not doing this can cause a vibration...

The top plate is 5" wide, so not a huge step but still usable. I'm 6'5'' so I rarely step on the bumper.

You could use the receiver tube. :D It sticks out some from the license plate. I think the main reason not many off road bumpers have anything below the license plate is ground clearance and approach angles.
The license plate is only recessed 1.75" on my design.

How are you 6'5" and drive a Tacoma? I'm 6' and have my seat one click from all the back. I can barely squeeze my legs under the steering wheel. haha.
