    Quick heads up:

I have enough parts to make 6-7 sets of roof mounts. After that, I'm not planning on making anymore. Just thought you guys should know that in case you were planning on trying to order a set months or years down the road.

subbd for when i becoem bling enough for a roof lef bar. I want it to sit as low as possible though. I dont want it over the height of my snorkel. ill be running a dual row 40 or 42. i just want it nice and simple, flat piece of steel on either side mounted to the bar. then some way to avoid it getting stolen...

    Thanks!

I designed the rack to sit as low and far forward as practically possible for a daily driver with a glass windshield. I highly doubt that it will be higher than your snorkel.

There are ways of making these setups pretty secure. Obviously, it serves our interests best if we don't openly discuss and reveal them to everybody.

What are the options for a 40" roof mount? I'd like the top of it to be level with the roof line. Maybe slightly higher. If I can see it at the top of the windshield that's fine for me.

I'd like it bit lower and tighter to the truck than this. Like this mount but without the raised tabs at the end. What length bar is this?

Those are for in-house installs only. I custom make them specific to each application.

Believe me, I had all of these concerns in mind when I was designing the bolt-on kit. I have been through all of it already personally from street trucks to race trucks, from HID's to LED's.

Like I said, the bolt-on rack is as low and as far forward as practically possible for a DD with a glass windshield. I would say that it already looks pretty level with the roof line... if you still want it lower than this picture, you can absolutely make it so. The light tabs I made for this rack can be rotated up/down & forwards/backwards to suit your needs.

Pictured below is a single row LED bar with the tabs placed where I find them optimal, functionally as well as aesthetically. A dual row LED bar will close the gap between the light and the windshield a bit more than you see here, which is not a huge space anyway. Keep in mind also that LED bars are perfectly straight while your windshield has a convex curve which closes the gap quite a bit more in the top/center.
